We're a 24 hour hackathon at the Pennsylvania State University with a focus on teaching students how to program as well as encouraging students to build tools that change education and other social issues. Eligibility

Teams are limited to four people and all team members must be 18 years of age by the start of HackPSU. 

Requirements

Participants can build whatever they want to build. It's a learning hackathon after all and we encourage our students to use HackPSU as a creative outlet for building anything that comes to mind. We encourage students to try to tackle an educational technology issue or a social good issue but any sort of technology-related submissions will be accepted. 

How to enter

All projects must be submitted on ChallengePost by Sunday 11:30 AM, March 8th. Teams can be up to 4 members and all projects must be started at HackPSU.

  • Design
    Does it look nice/is it easy to use?
  • Technically Challenging
    Is the problem solved in a technically challenging way? Were you impressed by the way the team thought through their problem?
  • Functionality
    Does everything work?
  • Novelty
    How cool is it? Did it make you say "Damn, that's fucking awesome!!"? Have you ever seen anything like it before? Was it incredibly creative?
